A beauty salon co-working concept has continued its rapid expansion in the region, leasing five new locations in New Jersey and New York for a combined 47,000 square feet.
Cushman & Wakefield announced Tuesday that it represented the operator, Phenix Salon Suites, in the recent flurry of transactions. The new commitments include two new locations in New Jersey: the Morris Hills Shopping Center at 3035 Route 46 in Parsippany and Woodbridge Crossing at 465 Greene St. in Woodbridge.
C&W retail broker David Townes completed the leases as Phenix Salon Suites’ leasing agent in the New York metropolitan area. Alana Friedman of C&W represented ownership in the 5,100-square-foot lease in Parsippany, while James Aug of Sabre represented the landlord in the 5,642-square-foot transaction in Woodbridge.
Phenix, which was founded in 2007, now has six New Jersey locations among more than 300 nationwide.
“Phenix Salon Suites is the leading salon suite franchise in the industry, offering distinctive co-working space for entrepreneurial beauty, health and wellness professionals,” Townes said. “This forward-thinking concept is disrupting the traditional salon business and contributing to the company’s rapid growth, both in our region and nationally. Phenix continues to seek prime locations in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut to meet ongoing demand in the thriving personal services industry.”
The three recently completed New York locations include:
- 165-10 Archer Ave. in Jamaica — 7,234 square feet
- 30-30 Northern Blvd. in Long Island City — 14,300 square feet, with Cushman & Wakefield broker Joseph Grotto representing the landlord, Alma Realty
- 650 Stewart Ave. in Garden City — 14,772 square feet
