A professional services and information technology firm has expanded its footprint in Florham Park, adding nearly 30,000 square feet to a sublease that began less than a year ago.
Brokers with Cushman & Wakefield announced that the multinational firm, whose name was undisclosed, has taken an additional 29,974 square feet at 12 Vreeland Road. The tenant, which has doubled its existing 26,556-square-foot space, now occupies the entire first floor.
The C&W team of William O’Keefe, Charles P. Parmelli and Kelsey Nakamura represented the sublandlord, Gerber Products Co., which is owned by Nestlé and announced in 2018 that it would its move U.S. headquarters from Florham Park to northern Virginia. John Cunningham and Fred Hyatt of JLL represented the tenant.
“This tech-oriented tenant quickly outgrew its initial sublease space in the building,” O’Keefe said. “The company continues to see tremendous value in the existing infrastructure and configuration, which is essential to operating the business. The space is also fully furnished, which has allowed the tenant to be up and running quickly.”
Kushner Real Estate Group is the landlord of the two-story, 139,750-square-foot building, which was recently renovated. C&W continues to market the remaining 83,220 square feet on behalf of Nestlé, which previously occupied the entire building.
“Space available for sublease includes the entire second floor, which is fully furnished, has a dedicated entrance and multiple branding opportunities,” O’Keefe added.
Features include an on-site cafeteria, a backup generator, loading dock and collaborative areas aimed at a modern workforce, C&W said. The property is also within walking distance of Lifetime Fitness and offers easy access to commuter bus and rail lines, with proximity to routes 24 and 10 and interstates 287 and 80.
