Larken Associates is welcoming a new tenant to its Echo Plaza Shopping Center in Springfield after inking a nearly 3,000-square-foot lease with a dance school.
The operator, Momentum Dance Academy, will use the space at 901 Mountain Ave. to offer classes in genres such as ballet, tap, lyrical, pointe, modern and hip hop, according to a news release. It’s leasing 2,750 square feet at the 66,567-square-foot property, where it will have two studios along with storage, dining and homework and study areas.
Brounell & Kramer Realtors and Coldwell Banker represented the landlord and tenant, respectively.
“I fell in love with dance when I was eight years old and have had the privilege of teaching students for more than 20 years,” said Meghan Vaz, owner of Momentum Dance Academy. “I am thrilled to have my studio at Echo Plaza Shopping Center and be able to share my passion for dance with the residents of Springfield and its surrounding communities.”
The school’s new home will occupy the busy Route 22 retail corridor at a property that includes 350 on-site surface parking spaces, Larken said. Echo Plaza Shopping Center also is adjacent to Echo Executive Plaza, a 41,100-square-foot professional and medical office building that the developer owns and manages.
