A new pickleball center is coming to Sussex County as part of a recently completed industrial flex lease arranged by NAI James E. Hanson.
In a news release, the brokerage team said it represented ownership in the full-building, 10,200-square-foot deal at 11 Millpond Drive in Lafayette. The tenant, Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges, will fit out the space as the county’s first standalone pickleball center, with Sparta-based Berardi Building Co. conducting the tenant buildout and Chris Wolverton of HQW Architects spearheading design.
NAI Hanson’s John Schilp completed the assignment on behalf of 11 Millpond Drive LLC, touting the property’s location at the corner of Route 94 as well as its high ceilings and column-free clear span.
“Pickleball’s growing popularity over the past few years has made it a demand driver for flex/industrial space throughout New Jersey,” Schilp said. “11 Millpond Drive is one of many area buildings owned and managed by Berardi Building Company.”
