The developer of a new apartment building in Jersey City has signed two ground-floor retail leases at the property, according to a brokerage team with The Goldstein Group.
In the larger deal, Smart Start Academy committed to 4,340 square feet at 430 Palisade Ave. The space will serve as a day care center, marking the operator’s seventh location.
The Goldstein Group Director Chris Conway represented the landlord, 430 Palisade LLC, in the deal with Smart Start. He also brokered a 1,705-square-foot transaction with Metro Markets, a convenience store chain with multiple locations, which was represented by Ripco Real Estate’s Colby Piper.
“The property will be serving a need for additional residential housing in the area and both retail tenants will be a great addition to the community,” said Chuck Lanyard, president of The Goldstein Group.
