Alliance Residential Co. has taken the wraps off nearly 400 new apartments in downtown New Brunswick.
The firm on Tuesday announced the opening of The Quincy, a 393-unit property at the corner of Nielson and New streets. The nine-story building is the latest luxury residential project to come to the city, with developers aiming to capture demand from anchor institutions like Rutgers University and its health care industry.
Alliance Residential has opened the complex under its Broadstone brand. Floor plans range from studios to two-bedroom units, with monthly rents ranging from about $1,720 to $3,410.
Apartments at The Quincy feature high-end design, finishes and appliances, while residents can access amenities such as a rooftop terrace with pool lounge, dog park and pet spa. Other offerings include a clubroom with a demonstration kitchen, a bike storage room with share bikes, a media and entertainment room and modern fitness center.

The Phoenix-based developer unveiled the building recently during a ceremony that drew New Brunswick Mayor James Cahill and other dignitaries.
“The Quincy is the latest community to open as part of Alliance’s already impressive portfolio and delivers on the luxe interiors and high-end amenities and upgrades that Broadstone’s across the nation are known for,” Brad Hamel, the firm’s senior vice president of operations in the Northeast, said in a prepared statement. “This brand new apartment community delivers what the competition can’t — a unique concept of exclusive luxury, which offers residents a world of style, flawless service and infinite class.”
Alliance Residential touted the building’s proximity to the New Brunswick train station, which is served by NJ Transit and Amtrak, as well as Route 18.
