OUR CLIENTS
DMR’s target client base is the progressive companies, people and organizations that are transforming communities, solving complex problems and upgrading various infrastructure — no matter the sector or scope. Having played a role in many transformative projects, we seek out clients who will allow us to exercise our creativity or to solve problems we can’t yet predict. Looking back on how we’ve grown over the years, some of our most inspirational and motivating clients came on with complex projects that we had never done before.
OUR ADVANTAGE
The people at DMR set us apart. Our professionals are extremely talented and uniquely qualified, offering a wide range of backgrounds in addition to the anticipated team of architects, planners and designers. Aside from being exceedingly capable, our people are committed. We are committed to our clients, to overcoming the challenges necessary to make our projects a success and to working together. With a collaborative work environment, we feel that all of our clients, regardless of who is assigned to manage day-to-day tasks, benefit from the combination of knowledge and spirit of commitment that exists within our office.
PROJECT SPOTLIGHT
DMR designed the Blanquita B. Valenti Community School, a state-of-the-art, new educational facility for the New Brunswick Public Schools that opened in September 2023.
The 127,000-square-foot facility replaced the school formerly known as the Lincoln School Annex and offers more programming space and more parking, as well as a multipurpose assembly room and a 14,000-square-foot playground, neither of which was offered at the previous school.
The school was designed to offer advanced STEAM spaces appropriate for students ranging in age from Kindergarten to Eighth Grade, most notably demonstrated through the centerpiece of the facility, the 3,000-square-foot media center. Featuring wraparound, floor-to-ceiling windows, bookshelves incorporated into the backs of seating and furniture and a classroom with electronic whiteboards for small-group instruction, the media center also includes a makerspace encased in glass windows.
Through a unique development arrangement that delivered the new school without taxpayer dollars, Blanquita B. Valenti Community School was built at 50 Jersey Ave., allowing the former site of the Lincoln School Annex to become the Jack and Sheryl Morris Cancer Center, a 500,000-square-foot cancer hospital that will be the first of its kind in New Jersey.
