Dollar Tree is expanding its vast footprint in New Jersey with the addition of five new locations spanning Bergen to Camden counties.
According to R.J. Brunelli & Co., the chain’s exclusive broker in the state, the new stores include a 12,130-square-foot endcap unit at Roxbury Mall on Route 10 in the Succasunna section of Roxbury. Dollar Tree recently opened at the 699,350-square-foot power center.
In Teaneck, the retailer is planning a fall opening for a 10,500-square-foot freestanding store at 1187 Teaneck Road. Also slated to open is a 9,093-square-foot location at Lakeview Shopping Center, a 32,000-square-foot complex at 64 Lakeview Ave.
R.J. Brunelli President and Principal Danielle Brunelli represented Dollar Tree in all of the transactions. Dan Zappala and Matt Grundy of Ripco Real Estate represented the landlord in Clifton.
Meantime, Dollar Tree has signed a 12,680-square-foot lease at Larken Associates’ Echo Plaza at Route 22 and Mountain Ave. in Springfield. The store will occupy the former home of a Stew Leonard’s Wine & Spirts shop.
R.J. Brunelli Senior Sales Associate Pete Nicholson worked with Danielle Brunelli on the lease, while Shane Wierks of Jeffery Realty represented the landlord.
Larken noted that it has a growing relationship with Dollar Tree, as the Springfield store will mark the retailer’s third location within its portfolio.
“Our longstanding relationships with Dollar Tree as well as with other national retailers is not only a testament to our high-quality and well-located retail inventory across the East Coast but also a direct result of our team’s property management expertise,” said Victor Kelly, executive vice president of Raider Realty, the in-house brokerage division of Larken Associates. “We are pleased to welcome Dollar Tree to Echo Plaza Shopping Center and look forward to continuing to build upon our successful relationship.”
In Haddon Township, the chain has inked a lease renewal and 4,600-square-foot expansion of its existing store at Westmont Plaza. Set to open in the fourth quarter, the location at the intersection of Cuthbert and MacArthur boulevards will span 12,000 square feet, occupying space that once housed a medical office.
