OUR ADVANTAGE
We provide turnkey or task-specific services which allow our clients the ability to rely on us to successfully navigate their project’s risks through the entitlement, investigation, remediation and regulatory closure process while producing high-quality, cost-effective and innovative design solutions.
ON THE HORIZON
With land costs at a premium, we continue to see a significant amount of that growth in urban areas, near mass transit and on previously developed brownfield sites. With the expansion of our construction management capabilities, including abatement and demolition, combined with our established reputation in brownfield redevelopment, we have ensured our continued place in this market. In addition, Dresdner Robin also anticipates an uptick in infrastructure improvement projects as a result of the recently passed infrastructure bill.
PROJECT SPOTLIGHT
Dresdner Robin Construction Management provided comprehensive construction management services including field oversight and management, as well as contractor and consultant coordination during the remedial construction portion of phase one of the Grand Jersey Brownfield Development Area. The multiple parcels consisted of varied historic uses including residential, industrial and manufacturing with portions of the site consisting of a former drum dump. The site, in Jersey City, is being redeveloped into mixed use retail, residential and open space. Historically, the property was used as a dumping ground for a variety of wastes. In addition, a portion of the site was also listed on the Hudson County Chrome Sites register for the known presence of Contaminated Chromium Processed Waste (CCPW) (hexavalent chromium).
The work involved removal and management of heavily contaminated fill impacted with metals, TPH, PCBs, UST removals, and the excavation and off-site disposal of CCPW. The work also included excavation support, dewatering and groundwater treatment, construction of an engineered cap, installation of temporary and permanent soil erosion sediment control stabilization measures. We provided planning, preconstruction and turnkey remediation services, inclusive of construction and safety oversight. We also managed quality and control of exported wastes to mitigate any off-site impacts during waste transport and disposal.
