Lennar has started construction on 67 new condominiums along the Weehawken waterfront, marking the final phase of the company’s luxury community known as Henley on Hudson.
The last phase of the complex, which sits within the master-planned Port Imperial complex, will include two buildings of four and six stories above a private parking garage, Lennar said in a news release Monday. Initial occupancy is scheduled for early 2018.
The national homebuilder also said it will launch preconstruction sales later this year, following the successful sell-out of earlier phases of Henley on Hudson. In total, the waterfront community will include 201 homes.
“Henley on Hudson has defined our commitment to creating sophisticated residences that combine the appeal of waterfront living with upscale amenities, distinctive architecture, exceptional living areas and proximity to Manhattan,” Craig Klingensmith, division president of Lennar’s Northeast Urban Division,, said in a prepared statement. “We’re delighted to now complete this vision by introducing the community’s final phase of homes.”
The newly designed homes will feature one-, two- and three-bedroom floorplans ranging in size from 1,165 to 1,998 square feet of living space, the news release said. The single-level designs will feature upscale finishes and appointments, with most of the homes offering balconies and/or terraces, while homeowners will have access to a host of high-end amenities.
Henley on Hudson is among the latest additions to the 200-acre Port Imperial site, which stretches two miles along the Hudson River. The location gives residents access to the Port Imperial ferry terminal with service to Midtown and downtown Manhattan, along with the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail station connecting to Hoboken and Jersey City.
