FirstService Residential has named a new vice president of sales for its east region.

In his new role with the property management firm, David Calloway oversees business development in a territory that stretches from Rhode Island to South Carolina. He takes over the position after being promoted from regional director, having joined FirstService in 2016.
“This announcement further cements our position as the industry leader,” Michael Mendillo, president of FirstService Residential, said in a prepared statement. “Dave has a proven history of leading many winning teams to victory and possesses the leadership skills, drive for success and vast experience in growing a team.”
The firm said that, as a key member of the executive leadership team, Calloway manages and sets the strategic direction for the business development group and collaborates with the marketing team to support the region’s overall growth goals. He initially joined the company as a business development director for the New Jersey and Pennsylvania high-rise division, before transitioning in 2018 from sales to operations and serving as a regional director for the New Jersey high-rise and lifestyle divisions.
Before joining the company, Calloway spearheaded both business development and operations for a large landscaping company serving the industry, according to a news release. He also is the former head coach of Monmouth University’s men’s basketball team, having led the squad to three of its four NCAA tournament appearances.
In addition, Calloway was named Northeast Conference Coach of the Year in 2001 and inducted into Monmouth University’s Hall of Fame in 2018.
“I am thrilled to accept this position,” Calloway said. “I will have the opportunity to use my previous experience in sales, along with my years of operational expertise, to help lead our business development team to success. I look forward to providing oversight, strategy and implementation of our sales approach to the team.”
