A food packaging company has leased nearly 27,000 square feet of industrial space in Mount Laurel, under a transaction arranged by brokers with NAI Mertz.
The undisclosed tenant, a local company, has taken one of the last remaining units at 103 Central Ave., a 112,000-square-foot building off Interstate 295. Its new home provides it with proximity to routes 38 and 73, the New Jersey Turnpike and the Port of Philadelphia.
NAI Mertz represented the landlord, CoreOne, in the 26,740-square-foot deal.
“This local food packaging company entered in a long-term lease for this space during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Scott Mertz, the firm’s president. “The completion of this deal is further evidence that active tenants and landlords are still able to successfully negotiate leases during these uncertain times.”
Mertz completed the deal alongside Jonathan Klear, a senior vice president with the Mount Laurel-based firm. In a news release, the team said the building offers 17-foot clear ceiling heights, a wet sprinkler system and a fenced lot.
“This is a quality building in an extremely convenient location near several major highways offering easy access to Philadelphia and central and northern New Jersey,” Klear said. “We are pleased to have worked along with all parties involved to help make this an easy transaction during these difficult times we are facing in the Northeast.”
