Ripco Real Estate has expanded its team of retail brokers in New Jersey with another new hire.
In a news release, the firm announced that Alison Cohen had joined the team based in its Lyndhurst office. She joins Ripco with more than 15 years of retail leasing experience, specializing in national and regional corporate and franchise restaurant representation.
“We are pleased to welcome Alison Cohen as the newest member to join the Ripco New Jersey team,” said Florian Suserman, managing partner of Ripco’s New Jersey office.
Cohen comes to Ripco from BKR/Lamar, the firm said. She works with tenants including Taco Bell, Dunkin’ Donuts, Burger King, Firehouse Subs, Pie Five and Popeye’s, among others.
Ripco also touted Cohen’s expertise in landlord representation, which will tie into her early assignments with the firm.
“After working in the retail sector for more than decade, I frequently witnessed the wonderful work Ripco had been doing and I jumped on the opportunity to work with the firm at their New Jersey office,” Cohen said. “I am eager to continue to find well-appointed spaces for the major restaurant chain franchises that I have longstanding relationships with and work closely with the Ripco team on several other assignments.”
Cohen is a longtime New Jersey resident and currently lives in Fair Lawn. She is the latest addition for Ripco, which announced earlier this year that it hired Mona Holzberg.
“With Alison’s extensive retail experience, we were keen on having her join our team,” said Curtis Nassau, Ripco’s other New Jersey managing partner. “As our office keeps expanding, we are looking for brokers with diverse backgrounds and with Alison’s unique restaurant franchise connections we know she’ll be a great addition to the team.”
