A furniture business has opened its doors in Paramus, following its acquisition last year of a nearly 18,000-square-foot building on Route 17.
Brokers with The Goldstein Group announced Tuesday that Ital Mod Furniture, a subsidiary of J&M Furniture, is now operating at 685 Route 17 South. The business has backfilled the space occupied by Maurice Villency Furniture, which operated there for more than 30 years before later leasing it to Harrow’s, also a furniture store.
The Villency family opted last year to sell the 17,661-square-foot building to J&M, which has been in business since 1999 and operates five locations. The Goldstein Group Executive Vice President Lew Finkelstein and Vice President C.J. Huter brokered the transaction.
