A law firm is moving to downtown Chatham after inking a nearly 6,000-square-foot lease with Kushner Real Estate Group, in a newly announced transaction by The Garibaldi Group.
In a news release, the brokerage firm said Brown Moskowitz & Kallen PC will occupy the first floor of 1 Main St., less than a mile from its current location at 180 River Road in Summit. Garibaldi’s Jackie Madden, Brian Cass and Jeff Garibaldi Sr. represented ownership, working alongside KRE’s Justin Gingeleskie, while Chris Hovanec of Colliers represented the tenant.
“While the office market remains in recovery mode, we are seeing companies engage the market whether it is to right size or upgrade their presence,” Cass said. He added that “similar to many companies in the market now, BMK had a lease expiration upcoming and felt it important to make an improvement to their current situation, and we sincerely appreciate the assistance of Chris Hovanec of Colliers in getting this transaction over the finish line.”
“The solid and nimble ownership group and commitment to add amenities are also differentiators for us at 1 Main Street,” Cass said.
Garibaldi announced the deal Wednesday, noting that the location will provide BMK with easy, walkable access to Chatham and a host of retail and restaurant offerings. The building also provides partial covered parking as well as immediate access to Route 24, with short rides to The Mall at Short Hills and Newark Liberty International Airport.
