GZA GeoEnvironmental Inc. has added a new associate principal in its Fairfield office.
The professional services firm said the new hire, Michael J. Morris, brings more than 25 years of experience as an environmental consultant working throughout New Jersey and the metropolitan New York area. He is a Licensed Site Remediation Professional in the Garden State, whose work with clients ranges from due diligence to project close-out on major redevelopment sites.
GZA, which is based in Norwood, Massachusetts, added that Morris is a professional geologist licensed in New Hampshire and is licensed by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection in the evaluation and closure of underground storage tanks. The Ramsey resident holds a bachelor’s in environmental science from Marist College and a master’s in environmental science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
Additionally, Morris serves on the DEP’s Technical Guidance Historic Fill Subcommittee and the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey’s Real Property Forum Steering Committee. He is also a member of the American Institute of Professional Geologists, the Licensed Site Remediation Professional Association in New Jersey and the National Groundwater Association.
