Fields Construction Co. has been awarded the Hoboken Chamber of Commerce’s Developer/Builder of the Year award for its work in the Mile Square City, the firm announced.
The construction management firm, which is based in the city, has built more than 1,500 apartments in Hoboken since entering the market in 1999. That body of work was honored recently during the chamber’s fifth annual Business Awards dinner.
Fields most recently completed construction at The Jordan, a luxury rental building at 1200 Clinton St.
“We’re humbled to be selected as ‘Developer/Builder of the Year’ in a city that is rife with outstanding real estate development and construction firms,” Jim Caulfield, principal of Fields Construction, said in a prepared statement. “Hoboken is our home, and it’s a place that’s been blessed with smart and dedicated businesses, political leaders, planners and professionals, who have made the city what it is today, and have made it possible for us to develop and build here. We look forward to continuing to play a role in Hoboken’s growth.”
The chamber honored businesses, businesspeople and agencies such as the local homeless shelter in 10 categories during the Business Awards dinner, which was held at the Elks Club, according to a news release. Fields was selected among 145 nominees, which were narrowed to three finalists in each category before the chamber’s board of directors voted to determine the winner.
