A physical therapy chain and a poké bowl shop are coming to a grocery-anchored retail center in Hamilton, according to a leasing team with Levin Management Corp.
In the larger deal, Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy will occupy 2,400 square feet at the 175,000-square-foot Hamilton Plaza, which sits at the intersection of Route 33 and Whitehorse-Hamilton Square Road. It will be among more than 100 New Jersey locations for the network, which provides treatments such as balance and fall prevention, chronic pain management, physical therapy, soft tissue mobilization, orthopedic therapy and post-surgical treatment.
Poke Bros, which serves sushi-grade fish or proteins and farm-fresh vegetables in an authentic Hawaiian poké bowl, is leasing 1,720 square feet at the ShopRite-anchored center. Founded in 2016, the chain currently has 80 stores in multiple states, while the Hamilton Plaza location will be the operator’s second in the area.
LMC Leasing Representative Ed Vasconcellos III spearheaded both leases on behalf of the landlord. C.J. Huang of Equity represented Ivy Rehab, while Joe Sternberg of NAI Mertz represented Poke Bros.
“Health care and dining concepts are both excellent traffic drivers that contribute significantly to a retail property’s ‘destination’ mix,” Vasconcellos said. “We are extremely pleased to have assisted Ivy Rehab in selecting the right location for its newest regional physical therapy facility. Likewise, Poke Bros is a quality, fresh addition that rounds out Hamilton Plaza’s dining component, which also includes a new Habit Burger Grill set to open this spring. We are excited to bring these new businesses to the Hamilton community.”
Anchored by an 81,000-square-foot, high-volume ShopRite, Hamilton Plaza draws 3.1 million visitors per year, according to real-time traffic data from Placer.ai., LMC said. The center’s tenant roster also includes The Goodwill Store, Dollar Tree, Petco, Mattress Firm and others, serving a residential population of more than 192,000 within a five-mile radius.
The property has a single 4,373-square-foot space available, the leasing team said.
