The leasing team at a Woodbridge shopping center has brought the complex to full occupancy, having completed a 1,200-square-foot lease with Jersey Mike’s Subs.
According to Levin Management Corp., the leasing agent at St. Georges Crossing, the fast casual sandwich franchise is taking part of a newly redeveloped, freestanding outparcel building at the site. It joins tenants such as ShopRite, P.C. Richard & Son, T.J. Maxx and others at the 343,000-square-foot property, which sits at the busy intersection of Route 1&9 and Route 35.
LMC Leasing Representative E.J. Moawad inked the long-term transaction on behalf of ownership, while Gary Krauss of Pierson Commercial represented the tenant.
“This Jersey Mike’s operator had been interested in St. Georges Crossing for quite some time,” Moawad said. “We are thrilled to accommodate their space needs while bringing a quality new dining element to the property. St. Georges Crossing has become a magnet for national brands that secure its position as a ‘one-stop shopping’ destination. We have no doubt this new Jersey Mike’s location will be embraced by the local community.”
Jersey Mike’s will occupy a building previously housing a Bertucci’s Italian Restaurant, operating alongside a recently opened Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen and an Xfinity Retail Store.
“This is a great example of our efforts not just to fill space, but to reposition space and fill it with the right tenants — brands that complement an existing tenant mix and add to a property’s dynamic,” Moawad said. He noted that the deal comes as national retailer Ulta Beauty also prepares to open a new 10,000-square-foot store at the center.
