JLL has made another addition to its New Jersey team, announcing the hiring of a well-known office leasing professional.
Kelsey Nakamura, who has nearly a decade of industry experience, joins the firm as a senior vice president based in its Parsippany office. She comes to JLL from Cushman & Wakefield and will focus on office brokerage assignments including tenant representation, agency leasing and portfolio clients, working with the team led by Tim Greiner.
“Kelsey’s extraordinary experience across a broad range of office brokerage services positions her to leverage JLL’s extensive platform for the benefit of her clients and help her achieve her career ambitions,” said Greiner, an executive managing director with JLL. “We are pleased to welcome her to the team.”
Nakamura is a former director with Cushman & Wakefield, according to a news release. Prior to that, she was the director of leasing and asset management at Saxum Real Estate, a privately held real estate investment and development company.
During her career, Nakamura has negotiated more than 3.5 million square feet of transactions with an aggregate deal value of over $750 million.
“I’m excited to part of such a great group of professionals,” she said. “I was drawn to JLL’s culture, collaborative environment and meaningful investments in both their people and platform. I look forward to fully utilizing JLL’s technologies and platform to help my clients as they rethink their portfolios and workplace strategy in a changing world.”
Nakamura graduated from Lehigh University and has received multiple industry awards and recognitions throughout her career from outlets and organizations such as the Mid Atlantic Real Estate Journal, Real Estate Forum, NAIOP New Jersey and CoStar, the news release said. She serves on the Emerging Leader Board of the Community FoodBank of New Jersey and is actively involved in NAIOP and Community Hope.
