The owner of a redeveloped shopping center in Little Ferry has tapped JLL as its leasing agent for the 139,000-square-foot property.
Marta Person Villa, a senior vice president with the real estate services firm, will oversee leasing and marketing for the property at 260 Bergen Turnpike. Known as Marketplace on River, the center is home to an Hmart supermarket that was recently moved from the back to the front of the complex as part of a redevelopment plan.
JLL is now marketing the Korean grocer’s former 45,602-square-foot unit, which can be divided, as part of more than 75,000 square feet of available space at the property.
“The opportunity for retailers is tremendous at this newly renovated shopping center,” Villa said, touting the complex’s location at Bergen Turnpike and River Road, near Route 46.
The landlord has also proposed building an additional freestanding retail pad to join the recently renovated Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin Robbins in the front of the center.
JLL, meantime, noted that the surrounding neighborhood boasts a population of 172,828 residents, as well as 28,425 businesses with 343,833 employees.
