A health care staffing firm has completed a major expansion in Newark as part of a project spearheaded by Kimmerle Group, the Harding Township-based design and planning practice.
In a news release, Kimmerle said All American Healthcare now occupies a full-floor, 17,000-square-foot office suite at 494 Broad St. after growing from 3,000 square feet. The company tapped Kimmerle Newman Architects and Kimmerle Workspace to oversee interior design, branding and graphics, along with furniture specification and procurement services, yielding a space that now has a bright, open-concept floorplan with bench workstations, glass-front offices and conference and huddle rooms with custom reclaimed wood tables, among other features for the client’s 100 employees.
“The overall design of All American Healthcare’s new space was deliberate, to make the space a place where people want to come to work,” said Meghan Richard, a senior associate at Kimmerle Group who led the project. “It’s not just another office — it has character, comfortable places to work, hang out and meet in, as well as the technology to support it.”

Additional features include collaborative and breakout spaces named after U.S. cities and regions, with corresponding furniture and graphics, in a nod to All American’s growing nationwide presence, the news release said. Additionally, Kimmerle incorporated exposed brick walls found during construction, giving the space a raw, industrial loft feel.
The design team also incorporated a mix of natural wood tones, black metals and a variety of colors and textures, plus amenities such as a new theater room equipped with stadium seating for trainings and large company gatherings. There is also a large game room with televisions and lounges and a centralized café.
“Going from a 3,000-square-foot space pre-pandemic to a 17,000-square-foot space post-pandemic wasn’t going to be easy,” All American Healthcare CEO Paul Ruderman said. “We were clear up front with Kimmerle about the importance of creating a unique workplace experience that would be both practical and inspiring, while at the same time, encouraging extreme collaboration. We also wanted this new space to serve as an exciting recruiting tool to hire inspired employees looking to build their careers at a vibrant company with a creative office.”
