Kushner Real Estate Group has launched leasing at a sprawling collection of 285 apartments in Marlboro, the latest addition to its portfolio of luxury garden-style properties.
Known as Beacon Hill, the site on Lloyd Road includes 14 three-story buildings around a central 4,000-square-foot clubhouse. KRE Group now aims to lure renters to the complex with a park-like footprint that spans 47 acres, upscale amenities and a location that is minutes from downtown Matawan.
The development has a mix of two-bedroom layouts with monthly rents starting from the $2,900s.
“Beacon Hill is named for its location near Beacon Hill Road in Marlboro, one of three historical sites in Monmouth County where beacons were placed during the Revolutionary War to warn of British incursions from the bay,” said Marc Kushner, chief design officer of KRE Group. “We drew inspiration from the area’s rich history while designing the community. The finished product is one that pays homage to its historical roots while offering residents the best in elegant living spaces and lifestyle amenities, all near local shopping, dining, parks and mass transit.”
In a news release, KRE said Beacon Hill’s clubhouse will have amenities such as a high-end fitness center, a clubroom with billiards and a fireplace, a business center and a kitchen and dining area that can be used for entertaining. Outside, open-air amenities will include a pool, a sundeck, fire pits, grills, bocce courts, a playground and a dog park.
The developer expects to market the property to existing Marlboro residents, touting it as a new housing type for the township, as well as others seeking a home in Monmouth County, the news release said. Residents are just a short drive from NJ Transit’s Aberdeen-Matawan train station, the Garden State Parkway and routes 34, 35 and 79, while they are minutes from supermarkets, restaurants, nature preserves and parks such as Big Brook Park.
KRE added that Beacon Hill expands the firm’s collection of more than a dozen garden-style rental communities across the tristate area. It has built out that portfolio in recent years alongside high-profile urban projects such as Journal Squared, its three-tower, 1,838-unit development in Jersey City’s historic Journal Squared neighborhood.
