Two well-known New Jersey developers have all but completed a new 273-unit luxury apartment property about 30 miles west of their home state.
The partners, Kushner Real Estate Group and The Silverman Group, say leasing is now underway at the collection of one- and two-bedroom homes known as Lehigh Hills in Upper Macungie Township, Pennsylvania. Located at 1400 Nursery St. in the town’s Fogelsville section, the seven-building, midrise complex is just north of Route 22 and Interstate 78 and about 20 minutes from downtown Allentown.
Initial occupancy is slated for mid-January.
“We are excited to start leasing residences at Lehigh Hills, a community that embraces everything that makes the Lehigh Valley special,” said Jonathan Kushner, president of Jersey City-based KRE Group. “Upper Macungie is the perfect location for residents looking for a well-connected, suburban environment with key lifestyle conveniences and easy access to Allentown and regional employment centers. We’re proud to introduce a modern residential option to the township and we look forward to welcoming our first residents.”
Monthly rents for a one-bedroom start from $1,975, KRE said, as it looks to attract residents with upscale interior design and amenities such as a modern fitness center, lounge areas, a conference room and a screening and gaming room. Outside, tenants will have access to a swimming pool, a landscaped outdoor terrace with a fire pit and grilling and seating areas.
Lehigh Hills marks the fourth time that KRE and Silverman have partnered in Pennsylvania. The firms previously developed Madison Farms, a 100-acre mixed-use apartment and retail complex in Bethlehem Township, as well as Spring View in Allentown and Parkland View in Breinigsville.
