Gilbert Bankston has joined Levin Management as vice president of property management, the real estate services firm announced Thursday.
Bankston brings 13 years of commercial property management experience in the New York/New Jersey and Florida markets to Levin, the firm said in a news release. His expertise includes shopping center and general asset management, development, tenant construction, financial management and accounting.
In his new role, he will ensure the delivery of Levin’s service standards at each of its managed commercial properties and establish and maintain positive retailer-landlord relationships, the news release said.
“Levin Management is well known throughout the real estate industry for its unparalleled quality of services and professionalism,” Bankston said in a prepared statement. “I am thrilled for the opportunity to join Levin at a time of such positive company momentum, and look forward to contributing to the firm’s continued progress while driving additional value to our clients and their properties.”
Prior to joining Levin, Bankston held key management positions at Simon Property Group and General Growth Properties, the news release said. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Ramapo College of New Jersey and is pursuing his master’s degree in business administration from the Keller Graduate School of Management.
He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and holds that organization’s Certified Shopping Manager designation. He also is a member of the Building Owners and Managers Association.
“We are pleased to welcome Gilbert to Levin Management,” said Robert Carson, Levin’s executive vice president. “His strong experience and proficiency in managing commercial real estate assets makes him well suited for this new role. We are confident his commitment, leadership and solid skills in all aspects of property management and tenant relations will prove invaluable to our property management team.”
