A well-known lighting business has found a new home in Paramus after leasing more than 7,000 square feet on Route 4, brokers with The Goldstein Group announced Monday.
According to the leasing team, Capitol Lighting is relocating to 290 Route 4 under a deal with NTH 290E LLC. The 98-year-old business, a fixture in the borough, will occupy 7,100 square feet at the freestanding building about a half-mile east of Forest Avenue.
The Goldstein Group President Chuck Lanyard and Director Marc Palestina represented ownership, while Frank Greco of Savills represented the tenant.
“Their former location on Route 17 in Paramus, in which they had operated for decades, was recently closed for redevelopment,” Lanyard said. “We were pleased that Capitol Lighting chose this new and strategic location to continue their Paramus store operation.”
In announcing the deal, the brokerage firm noted that Capitol Lighting opened its doors in Newark. It also has New Jersey stores in East Hanover and Eatontown, as well as three locations in South Florida.
