Link Logistics has filled more than 54,000 square feet of industrial space in Linden after securing a lease with a food manufacturer, brokers with Bussel Realty Corp. said Monday.
According to a news release, BRC represented ownership in the transaction at 1501 West Blancke St. The deal with Golden Platter Foods Inc. brings the 115,000-square-foot building to full occupancy, the brokers said, noting that the lease includes refrigeration and freezer space, floor drains and food production space.
BRC Senior Vice President Jordan Metz, Senior Associate Ben Abbate and Sales Associate James Friel completed the 54,078-square-foot deal, while Pantheon Properties represented the tenant.
“With the significant growth of the food and beverage industry, demand within the industrial real estate markets has grown in tandem, and projections are indicating even further growth in the years to come within this sector,” Metz said. “This has resulted in a substantial lack of comparable available product on the market with the needed existing infrastructure to cater to this specialized tenant base.”
The transaction is among three in Linden that Metz’s team announced Monday. In the second, the group represented long-term client BF Trading LLC in a 17,700-square-foot lease at 1010 West Elizabeth Ave. Anju Realty represented the tenant, Momentum Mavens Inc., in a deal that will allow it to be minutes from the New Jersey Turnpike and Route 1&9.
Metz, Abbate and Friel also represented 5GJM LLC, the landlord at 3401 Tremley Point Road, Building D, in a lease with PK Mechanical Services for 8,000 square feet and one acre of outside industrial storage and parking. Sitar Realty represented the tenant, a construction company that specializes in metals, HVAC and plumbing services.
“We are pleased to have signed a lease renewal with PK Mechanical at 3401 Tremley Point Road,” Metz said. “The site continues to serve as a strategic geographic location to serve its customer base in the region. This transaction underscores the continued strength of smaller low-coverage properties which feature functional warehouse/shop space with excess IOS land for outdoor storage/fleet parking in the region.”
