A growing restaurant chain and a nail salon are joining a Jersey City shopping center, having leased a combined 10,000 square feet at the 95,000-square-foot complex.
Levin Management Corp., the leasing agent for the Twin City Shopping Center, announced Wednesday that Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood and Bar and Apple Nail Salon have taken 8,350 square feet and 1,650 square feet, respectively. The casual family restaurant, which offers a New Orleans-themed menu, is expanding its New Jersey presence with the new location at the intersection of Garfield Avenue and 53rd Street.
LMC Leasing Representative E.J. Moawad arranged both leases. Igal Nassim of Mason Asset Management represented Hook & Reel, which recently opened its first New Jersey location in West Orange.
“Hook & Reel is a great fit for this property,” Moawad said. “We have worked hard to enhance and diversify the tenant mix and dining options here, and this concept will serve as another anchor for the center’s restaurant component. Hook & Reel will be a significant traffic generator and contribute to Twin City’s overall appeal and ‘destination’ atmosphere.”
Located just north of the Bayonne border, Twin City also includes dining options such as Taco Bell, Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen, Wendy’s and Dunkin’. Meantime, Apple Nail Salon joins other tenants including Aqui Market, Retro Fitness, Kidz Village, Everything $.99 and T-Mobile.
“Service-oriented tenants optimize the retail mix at any shopping center,” Moawad said. “Apple Nail Salon represents another outstanding option for the local community.”
