Levin Management Corp. is celebrating two awards from the Building Owners & Managers Association of New Jersey, which recognized both a property in the firm’s portfolio and one of its key team members during the group’s recent awards program.
LMC, which is based in North Plainfield, took home The Outstanding Building of the Year or TOBY award in the retail category for Hamilton Plaza, a grocery-anchored, 175,000-square-foot shopping center in Hamilton, according to a news release. Meantime, Portfolio Manager Denise Ciaravino garnered the Retail Property Management Professional award.
“The TOBY award is a testament to the outstanding work of property manager Christine Hanington and her team,” said Erika Toscani, LMC’s vice president of property management. “Hamilton Plaza has long been a premier local shopping destination and a dominant center in its marketplace. We take pride in delivering best-in-class service standards at our managed commercial properties and are honored to be recognized by BOMA-NJ with this award.”
The ShopRite-anchored Hamilton Plaza is among more than 120 properties in LMC’s leasing and management portfolio, the firm said, touting BOMA-NJ’s TOBY awards as the most prestigious and comprehensive of their kind in the commercial real estate industry. Ciaravino, for her part, joined LMC in 2006 as a property manager before rising to the post of senior property manager in 2009 and then to portfolio manager in 2021.
She maintains a Real Property Administrator designation and has been an active member of BOMA-NJ since 2004.
“Denise is an outstanding industry professional who demonstrates tremendous leadership in all aspects of her job,” Toscani said. “She strives to provide the highest level of service to our clients and tenants, and is a respected team player and a mentor to both new and seasoned colleagues. We congratulate her on this well-earned achievement.”
