A nonprofit has secured a new headquarters with a nearly 27,000-square-foot office lease in New Providence, according to a team with Kislak Commercial Real Estate Services Inc.
The organization, Our House Inc., is moving to 41 Spring St. under a newly announced deal with Shelbourne Spring LLC. The 26,653-square-foot space will now house an organization that has operated since 1980 and serves communities across multiple counties, providing services and support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Matthew LoBocchiaro, a commercial sales and leasing associate with Kislak, represented the tenant. Doug Rowe and Geoffrey Schubert of Lee & Associates represented the landlord at the single-story, 171,216-square-foot single-story building.
“I am proud to have had the opportunity to work alongside Our House in securing their new headquarters and Day Program space,” LoBocchiaro said. “It was a privilege to be involved in every stage of the project, including site selection, LOI and lease negotiations, space planning and final lease execution. We are excited to see the positive impact that Our House will continue to have on the community.”
According to a news release, the Day Program includes everything from small-group activities and personalized life-skills coaching to volunteer projects and recreational excursions, giving each participant a tailor-made plan that balances structured learning with social connection. Its employment services are designed to support individuals in securing and thriving in competitive work environments that match their skills, interests and goals through a wide range of employment and internship opportunities — both paid and unpaid — tailored to their abilities and aspirations.
Its new building in New Providence is also leased to a strong base of nationally recognized science, technology, engineering and mathematics corporations and other tenants, the news release said. Amenities include a full-service cafeteria, a high-end fitness center, loading docks, on-site building management, exterior patio and seating areas, a dedicated generator and ample parking.
Kislak Commercial Real Estate Services, the commercial sales and leasing affiliate of The Kislak Co. Inc., added that New Providence has an affluent residential base, a walkable downtown with restaurants and shops, parks and recreation. It also has two NJ Transit stations with service Hoboken with connections to New York City, plus easy access to interstates 78 and 287.
