A home décor business is relocating from Brooklyn to an 80,000-square-foot industrial building in Clifton, under a transaction brokered by Team Resources Inc.
The brokerage firm said it represented Elite Décor LLC in its acquisition of the property, 144 Delawanna Ave. The $7.5 million deal marks the first step in moving the company to New Jersey, Team Resources said, following the approval of a 10-year, $7 million state tax credit package last fall.
Eric Lewin handled the assignment on behalf of Team Resources, while Lee & Associates represented the seller.
“Elite Décor is another refugee of the ‘red hot’ real estate market in the outer boroughs of NYC,” Lewin said. “They hope to occupy the building before the end of the year.”
Elite Décor, a custom window treatment manufacturer, told the state Economic Development Authority last fall that it has outgrown its headquarters and production facility in Brooklyn. The company at the time said it was also considering an alternative location in Middletown, New York.
The move would create more than 100 new jobs and more than $2 million in investment in Clifton, the EDA said.
