A family medicine practice is moving within Passaic County after acquiring an office building in downtown Hawthorne, brokers with NAI James E. Hanson announced Thursday.
The buyer, which was listed as AKKC Realty LCC, is relocating from Haledon to the 3,851-square-foot property at 364 Lafayette Ave. in Hawthorne, according to a news release. Its new home is a freestanding former commercial banking space, one that’s easily accessible from highways such as routes 17 and 208 and the Garden State Parkway.
NAI Hanson’s Darren Lizzack and Randy Horning represented the seller, Orom Ashur LLC.
“The health care market has continued to see tremendous velocity in the post-pandemic world, especially given the slow and steady recovery of the retail sector,” Horning said. “The immense potential and location of 364 Lafayette offered the perfect opportunity for a future as a medical office and aligns directly with the trend of former retail properties being converted into medical spaces. We look forward to continuing leveraging our exceptional market expertise to not only help our clients find value for their properties but take advantage of the rising demand for health care spaces in the foreseeable future.”
In announcing the deal, NAI Hanson noted that 364 Lafayette Ave. sits on a corner lot with on-site parking. It’s also around the corner from NJ Transit’s Hawthorne station and close to major retailers in the borough.
