NAI Mertz has promoted one of its longtime industrial brokers to senior vice president, the Mount Laurel-based real estate services firm announced.
In a news release, NAI Mertz said Jonathan Klear earned the promotion from his former position of vice president. The move comes in a year in which he completed more than $31.5 million in sale and lease transactions during the first two quarters.
Klear has specialized in industrial sales and leasing throughout southern New Jersey and the greater Philadelphia market for more than a decade.
“Jonathan is such a respected member of our NAI Mertz family, and it is a great pleasure to announce his promotion to this well-deserved position,” said Barry Mertz, CEO of NAI Mertz. “Jonathan’s many contributions to our firm and our industry deserve to be recognized, and we look forward to watching his continued success.”
Before joining NAI Mertz, Klear spent several years in the entertainment industry specializing in marketing, agency representation and licensing at MTV Networks, the news release said. He has gained his expertise in the industrial sector working with tenants that are expanding, contracting, relocating and reorienting their commercial real estate footprint throughout the United States.
He is also active within NAI Global, which enables him to leverage the network to provide services to his clients on a national and global scale.
Klear earned a bachelor’s in psychology from Ohio State University, NAI Mertz said. He is a licensed real estate salesperson in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and a member of the NAI Global Industrial Council, as well as the International Council of Shopping Centers.
