Brokerage and property management firm MIG Real Estate has opened a new office in Newark’s Ironbound section that will serve its growing roster of multifamily investor clients.
The firm last month welcomed public officials and other supporters to unveil the space at 112 Jabez St., having expanded to 1,500 square feet from 250 square feet at its previous location. The new office houses a team that includes agents, property managers and a maintenance crew, following Anthony Marin’s launch of the business in 2016.
As the company noted, Marin had built a seven-figure multifamily portfolio and quickly realized he could not find a quality property manager. He then obtained a real estate license and started what was then known as MIG Property Management, going on to grow the firm through the pandemic and start a brokerage unit.
Marin rebranded the company to MIG Real Estate and, in 2021, signed a lease to move to the expanded office. Those on hand for the ribbon-cutting ceremony included his wife, state Assemblywoman and Budget Chair Eliana Pintor Marin, along with Newark Councilman Michael Silva, former Assemblyman Albert Coutinho and many of Newark’s top developers, brokers, agents and business owners.
