A key broker with NAI James E. Hanson has assumed the post of New Jersey chapter secretary with the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors.

Chris Todd, who joined the firm in 2013, steps into the role after earning the prestigious SIOR designation early this year. He joins the leadership team of a chapter that has 80 of the state’s top brokers as its members, including 11 from NAI Hanson.
“I would like to thank SIOR NJ for placing their faith in me as I step into the leadership ranks of the one of state’s most prestigious real estate organizations,” Todd said. “In my new role, I hope to build upon the foundation put in place by those before me and positively impact this great organization.”
Based in Teterboro, NAI Hanson noted that Todd has helped negotiate 125 industrial sales and leases spanning 5.4 million square feet and $615 million in value. He works closely on a team with former SIOR New Jersey President Scott Perkins and recent addition William Ericksen.
SIOR, meantime, has 3,600 members in 45 countries and is a key association for real estate brokers.
“Earning the SIOR designation is a tremendous accomplishment and helps distinguish brokers in a highly competitive field,” said William C. Hanson, president of NAI Hanson. “Going a step further to take a leadership role within SIOR NJ is an honor that many throughout our firm’s history have achieved, so we’re proud of Chris as he steps into his new role and continues this proud tradition.”
