A new boutique apartment building in Montclair is 50 percent leased, reaching the milestone a month after opening its doors to residents.
Built by Sterling Properties and Greenwood Development, the property known as The Vestry includes 46 luxury units and amenities such as a rooftop lounge. The development team hailed the leasing activity last week while touting its location at 147 Bloomfield Ave., which provides renters with easy access to mass transit and downtown Montclair.
“The rapid leasing pace at The Vestry is not surprising given the demand we have seen for rental homes of this caliber in the Montclair area,” said Nicholas Hollenbeck, director of sales and marketing for Sterling Properties. “The Vestry speaks to the modern renter who appreciates the laid-back, less dense atmosphere of the suburbs, juxtaposed with Montclair’s dynamic dining, shopping and cultural offerings. This location is truly ideal for commuters and empty nesters alike, and our quick lease-up reflects that.”
The developers noted that a growing number of renters have left New York City in search of more space. The Vestry provides a mix of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments and access to a walkable, suburban atmosphere.
In a news release, the Sterling and Greenwood said the property’s rooftop lounge offers an outdoor terrace, communal barbeque and pizza oven. Other amenities include a modern fitness center and dog wash.
