Three tenants have combined for nearly 34,000 square feet in leasing volume at a three-building, 264,000-square-foot office park in Edison, according to NAI DiLeo-Bram & Co.
Robert Dinner, an executive vice president with the brokerage firm, represented both sides in each deal at the Metroplex Corporate Center off Plainfield and Brunswick avenues. The transactions include a 14,500-square-foot lease extension by Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care Center, which will maintain a location just minutes from its main New Brunswick campus, at 100 Metroplex Drive.
Naik Group, an engineering firm that designs state, federal and public works transportation systems, signed a 10,200-square-foot renewal that will allow it to reconfigure its space at 200 Metroplex Drive, according to a news release. Meantime, land surveying company DPK Consulting LLC committed to 9,100 square feet at space that had been available for sublease.
“I am pleased to have completed these leases at Metroplex Corporate Center,” Dinner said. “Rutgers and Naik are longtime tenants at the property and wished to remain in their spaces. DPK was previously located in multiple office spaces within a building in Piscataway, and this new premises met the company’s business goals by allowing all of its employees to be accommodated in one location.”
The leasing team added that, by taking space that was listed for sublease, DPK signed a long-term direct deal with the landlord that included furniture, workstations and IT wiring. The complex is currently 95 percent leased.
“The success of the high occupancy level we have achieved over the years at Metroplex Corporate Center is a result of many factors, including the great location of the property at the Edison train station, companies’ employees living locally, the guidance of our real estate professional, Rob Dinner, and the personal relationships we maintain with our tenants,” said Jeremy Schall, Metroplex Associates’ in-house leasing representative. “Last, but equally important, our property management team maintains everything in first-class condition so our tenants are happy.”
