One of downtown Trenton’s largest office buildings is on the market for sale, in a newly announced listing by NAI Fennelly.
Jerry Fennelly, the firm’s president, is marketing the 240,000-square-foot property at 240 West State St. on behalf of an undisclosed client. He noted that the 16-story structure is steps from the New Jersey State Museum and the New Jersey State House, touting its indoor secured parking and panoramic views of the Delaware River.
The property also sits at the intersection of Calhoun Street, just north of Route 29 and across from the Calhoun Street Bridge, providing easy access for both New Jersey and Pennsylvania-based employees.
“Despite challenges surrounding the return to work, we continue to see office users aggressively searching for well-located, fun, creative and flexible office space that enables them to tap into state incentive programs,” Fennelly said. “240 West State Street is an ideal occupier investment with a wide range of amenities including on-site parking, outdoor pool and patio, a first-floor banquet hall with kitchen and a first floor 30-person café paired with a variety of state incentives.
“We are excited to bring this unique opportunity to the market and look forward to securing a buyer hoping to purchase one of New Jersey’s best-located and amenitized office buildings to tap into the sustained demand for well-positioned office properties in the current market.”
In announcing the listing, Fennelly added that the building is just under two miles from the Trenton Transit Center and West Trenton Train Station.
