An international bicycle company has found a new home in Fairfield, where it is leasing nearly 24,000 square feet of industrial space after the recent sale of its prior headquarters.
Brokers with NAI James E. Hanson announced that Kent International Inc. is taking 23,875 square feet at 155 Route 46, under a transaction with landlord Richards & Robbins. In a news release, the real estate services firm said Kent had sought a new headquarters with a larger office component after selling its former building at 60 East Halsey Road in Parsippany.
NAI Hanson’s Barry Cohorsky and LJ Koch represented the family-owned bicycle manufacturer and distributor in the lease and the sale in Parsippany, which closed in August. Resource Realty’s Greg Sabato represented the landlord in Fairfield.
“Industrial space of all sizes remains in high demand across northern New Jersey, which makes the market increasingly more complex and challenging for businesses to navigate on their own,” Cohorsky said. “Behind our experience and unmatched knowledge of the local market, we pride ourselves on our ability to deliver on whatever our clients need in this challenging market. Recognizing office space was a priority for Kent International, we knew 155 Route 46 would be a perfect fit for the company to relocate their operations and we were happy to partner with them to secure a space to ensure their continued growth.”
Kent’s new home is part of a 40,400-square-foot industrial flex building with proximity to major arteries such as interstates 80 and 287 and routes 23 and 10. The building features some 12,000 square feet of dedicated office space, a parking ratio of 2.5 spots per 1,000 square feet and three loading docks.
