A real estate firm has acquired an 11,500-square-foot office building in Maplewood that it now plans to repurpose as a headquarters medical facility, according to brokers involved in the deal.
The two-story property, located at 2115 Millburn Ave., sits within in the professional corridor that stretches into neighboring Millburn, NAI James E. Hanson said in a news release. The brokerage firm said the buyer, Millburn Ave. Specialty Realty, was attracted to the availability of space and a location in a highly accessible and desirable location, which provides an opportunity to purchase, renovate and occupy what had been a multitenant building.
NAI Hanson’s Josh Levering, Ken Lundberg, Nick DePaolera and Pat Lennon represented the seller, Millburn Property Management, while Century 21 New Beginnings Realty represented the buyer. Terms were not disclosed.
“Suburban office spaces still present unique opportunities for creative operators, especially in the medical office field,” Levering said. “We worked with and supported the partnership selling the building to provide market exposure to attract a creative operator.”
