A community organization has found a new headquarters after acquiring a nearly 23,000-square-foot office building in Parsippany, a broker with NAI James E. Hanson said Thursday.
According to a news release, the Mental Health Association of Essex and Morris County paid $2.8 million for the property at 1160 Parsippany Blvd. It acquired the building from a seller listed as Genelle ll LLC, the brokerage team said, noting that the recently renovated, 22,798-square-foot structure is part of the two-building Parsippany Boulevard Commons Office Center just north of Interstate 80.
NAI Hanson’s Josh Levering represented the seller.
“While the office market has experienced challenges over the past few years, we continue to see good demand in the market for well-located and modern buildings,” Levering said. “It’s more important than ever for owners to continue to invest in their properties to ensure they can stand out in today’s market and attract interested parties like The Mental Health Association of Essex and Morris County.”
NAI Hanson added that recent upgrades at 1160 Parsippany Blvd. have improved common areas, flooring, lighting, bathrooms and the parking lot. Tenants are minutes from additional highways such as interstates 280 and 287 and routes 10, 46 and 202.
