A piping contractor has leased more than 9,000 square feet at a Waldwick industrial building, with NAI James E. Hanson serving as the broker for the property’s owner.
The brokerage on Tuesday announced the 9,250-square-foot deal at 6 William Demarest Place with Armistead Mechanical Inc. Ken Lundberg, Dominic Fittizzi and Patrick Lennon negotiated the deal for the landlord, Waldwick III Associates.
In business for more than 100 years, Armistead Mechanical has grown to become one of largest employers of plumbers and pipefitters in New Jersey and the New York Hudson Valley region, NAI Hanson said in a news release. Its current headquarters on Hooper Avenue is directly across the street from the new location.
Armistead Mechanical is expanding its business and saw 6 William Demarest as “the perfect opportunity to accommodate its continued growth in a flexible and convenient location,” the news release said. With one tailgate and one drive-in, the building allows for Armistead Mechanical to store and transfer equipment and supplies quickly.
“We were able to find an immediate tenant for our client due to our in-depth knowledge of the marketplace,” Lundberg said. “With a growing business just across the street, we knew that 6 William Demarest Place provided Armistead Mechanical with the ample space it needs to expand its business while remaining in its current headquarters and continuing to be a fixture of the Waldwick business community.
“It was a great fit for both our client and the tenant.”
The property is near Route 17, housing 3,500 square feet of office space as part of its total footprint.
