NAIOP New Jersey will honor its volunteer leaders and other key contributors next month as the commercial real estate group hosts its annual President’s Awards and Hall of Fame Reception.
Slated for Nov. 4, the event will feature a new format as the organization welcomes members to the Jewel Box at Newark’s Gateway Center. The venue’s soaring atrium and relaxed atmosphere will serve as the backdrop for this year’s event, with an informal honoree reception slated to follow the awards presentation rather than the traditional sit-down dinner of past years.
The 2024 President’s Awards honorees are:
- Legacy Award: William Hanson, NAI James E. Hanson
- Pillar Award: State Assemblyman Robert J. Karabinchak
- Advocacy Award: David Greek, Greek Real Estate Partners
- Volunteer of the Year: Keith Lieberman, T&M Associates
- Rising Star Award: Bridget B. Wilcox, G.S. Wilcox & Co.
- Student Award: Lauren Munari, Columbia University/Terreno Realty Corp.
The chapter, which solicited input on the format from its members, said this year’s program will also include a reunion of past NAIOP New Jersey Hall of Fame recipients. The event is typically one of the industry’s largest of the year in New Jersey before the holiday season.
“These awards acknowledge the great work of members who have gone above and beyond to advance the objectives of our chapter and ensure the success of commercial real estate development in New Jersey,” said Mark Shearer of Rockefeller Group, NAIOP New Jersey president. “The spectacular Jewel Box at Gateway Center is the perfect setting for this special evening, and we look forward to celebrating the honorees as well as welcoming back industry icons who have been inducted into the NAIOP NJ Hall of Fame.”
