A local nonprofit has moved its headquarters after leasing nearly 5,000 square feet of office space in Roseland, brokers with NAI James E. Hanson announced Wednesday.
The organization, the National Council of Jewish Women, Essex County Section, will occupy the space at 5 Becker Farm Road under a deal with Sixpad Realty LLC, according to a news release. That provides a new base of operations for the chapter, whose community-focused initiatives include:
The NCJW/Essex Back 2 School Store, which provides thousands of Essex County children with school supplies, personal care items, clothes, books and more
- The Linda and Rudy Slucker NCJW/Essex Center for Women, which offers counseling and other support services for women entering or re-entering the workforce
- Advocacy programs focused on critical issues such as reproductive rights, voting rights, gun violence prevention and more
NAI Hanson Senior Vice President Andrew Somple and Associate Jessica Curry represented the tenant in the 4,973-square-foot deal, which allowed it relocate from Livingston. They noted that the four-story, 121,667-square-foot office building at the junction of Interstate 280 and Livingston Avenue has a full-service cafe, more than 400 on-site surface parking spaces and 24/7 access.
“NCJW/Essex is a vital organization that has been empowering women, children and families in our community for more than a century,” Curry said. “We were proud to help them secure a space to support their ability to continue delivering vital programs and services for those in need.”
