A clothing manufacturer has paid $4.8 million to acquire a 138,000-square-foot industrial property in New Brunswick, Bussel Realty Corp. announced Wednesday.
The industrial real estate firm said it represented the buyer, Miss Sportswear, in its purchase of 745 Joyce Kilmer Ave. Leo Esses, senior vice president of BRC, handled the deal for the Edison-based brokerage, while seller KLCNY LLC was represented by CBRE.
Miss Sportswear has spent an additional $800,000 to upgrade the property, BRC said in a news release. The building, which is close to routes 1 and 130, features 14- to 20-foot ceiling heights, eight tailboards, six drive-in doors for loading and 200 surface parking spaces.
“Miss Sportswear wanted to open an operation in New Jersey to complement its Manhattan operations,” Esses said. “I was able to locate a property which perfectly suited their business and real estate needs and is in close proximity to New York City via highways and mass transportation.”
