Woodmont Properties is officially seeking renters for its newest apartment community.
In a news release, the developer announced that Woodmont Metro at Metuchen Station has opened for leasing. The milestone comes as the property, which includes 273 units, continues with construction ahead of a projected completion by the end of next year.
Woodmont Metro is a redevelopment spearheaded by Woodmont Properties and Nexus Parking Systems, seeking to capture demand for urban-style living in transit-centric locations. The project at Pearl and New streets is only steps an NJ Transit station.

Nexus Parking recently completed a 769-space parking garage, which it is operating for the Metuchen Municipal Authority. When the residential portion is complete, renters will have access to a host of high-end amenities seen in luxury apartment buildings.
“The interest in Woodmont Metro has been remarkable,” Lewis Zlotnick, president of Woodmont Properties, said in a prepared statement. “Our leasing professionals are now scheduling appointments and tours from our growing VIP list of more than 1,200 potential residents.”
The project also includes a retail portion known as the Shops at Woodmont Metro, which will anchor a European-styled piazza. Another soon-to-be-completed retail development will bring a new whole foods to the Middlesex County borough.
