Newmark Associates has made another addition to its brokerage team, hiring a longtime health care and pharmaceutical executive as a sales associate.
The firm, which is based in Cedar Knolls, said Mary P. Swatek brings nearly 30 years of executive management experience in the health care and wellness industries. The brokerage announced the hire on Monday while touting her vast network of business contacts and her ability to form strategic partnerships, identify market opportunities and manage all stages of contract negotiations and execution with close attention to detail.
The longtime Bergen County resident began her career in market research and strategic consulting for the global pharma, biotech and diagnostics sectors, according to a news release. In the next decade, she took on leading roles in sales and marketing before shifting to market and business development.
During the past decade as an independent consultant, Swatek has supported executive management clients across nutritional, phytopharmaceutical, devices and cord blood storage businesses. With Newmark, the firm said she will focus on investments sales, tenant and landlord representation, valuation and consulting services for the office, retail and industrial sectors, primarily in Bergen County and northern New Jersey market.
Swatek received a bachelor’s in biology from Lehigh University with minors in Spanish and psychology, the news release said. She also received an MBA from Columbia University and is a graduate of the 2009 inaugural class of Bergen LEADS, a yearlong civic engagement and leadership program in Bergen County.
