Newmark Associates has announced two recent additions to its sales team.
Dennis Giammetta, an associate with the Cedar Knolls-based firm, joined the company at the start of 2022 with more than 15 years of experience in client relationship management, negotiations and direct sales, according to a news release. He is also a trained actor who has appeared in regional stage, film and TV performances, Newmark said, noting that he has leveraged those skills in roles as a brand ambassador for organizations such as American Express, Burberry, Cartier and Nestle.
“His attentive listening and problem-solving skills have been honed through closing used auto sales, managing customer satisfaction throughout the buying and follow up stages and productive telemarketing campaigns resulting in recruiting new clients throughout New Jersey,” Newmark Associates wrote. “Excellent at cultivating client relationships, he has built a solid base of repeat customers and referrals.”
Giammetta studied with professional acting coaches and took coursework at the Stella Adler Center for the Arts, the news release said. The Morris County resident is a graduate of the Alexander Anderson Center for Real Estate Education and holds a New Jersey Real Estate License, now serving the Bergen, Hudson and Morris county markets in both sale and lease transactions.
David Yoon, also an associate, joined the Newmark team late last summer. He recently spent seven years as president and co-founder of a New York apparel company, having also served as a sales director in the fashion industry in both Los Angeles and New York.
“As an entrepreneur, David brings to his Newmark sales role experience, qualities, and skills resonant with the Newmark culture — building strong relationships with colleagues and external vendors, expert communication and negotiation skills, working independently as part of a dynamic team, project management and an ability to identify and align strategic business, financial and operational objectives,” the firm wrote.
Born in South Korea, Yoon was raised in the Whippany section of Hanover and lived abroad again in 2009, exploring a brief term as an investor and partner in the textile industry in Shanghai, China. He graduated in 2004 from the State University of New York at Binghamton with a bachelor’s in economics.
