A biotechnology firm with offices in Woodbridge has expanded its lease to nearly 28,000 square feet, in the largest of several newly completed deals by Newmark.
According to the brokerage team, Genosity has nearly doubled its footprint at Woodbridge Corporate Plaza as part of the long-term extension with Northeast Capital Group. Newmark Senior Managing Director Jamie Drummond and Associate Director Andrew Perrotti represented ownership in the transaction at 485F Route 1 South, part of a six-building complex in the township’s Iselin section.
The 27,700-square-foot lease was among eight newly announced deals at the campus, where Drummond and Perrotti serve as leasing agents. The commitments, which total nearly 60,000 square feet, also include:
- MultiMedia Healthcare signing a 13,364-square-foot lease extension
- Wawa signing a new 4,500-square-foot lease
- Wealth management firm Cetera signing a new 4,100-square-foot lease extension, relocating within the complex
- Align Wealth Management signing a new 3,054-square-foot lease
- SAA Interiors & Architecture signing a 2,500-square-foot lease extension
- 3B Staffing signing a new 1,607-square-foot lease
- IT infrastructure services company Microland extending its 1,280-square-foot lease
“We are honored to represent Northeast Capital Group in closing 2021 with a strong quarter of leasing at Woodbridge Corporate Plaza,” Drummond said. “With the continued disruption to office demand from COVID-19 variants, the completion of these leases speaks to the strength of this asset.”
Ramapo, New York-based Northeast Capital purchased the office park from KBS in May 2021, in a deal arranged by Newmark’s tristate capital markets team. The Newmark leasing team represented the previous owners at the complex, which measures more than 630,000 square feet, and has continued in that role under the new owner.
The brokers noted that Woodbridge Corporate Plaza features updated common spaces and amenities such as a new 6,000-square-foot fitness center and a full-service café, along with free shuttle service for tenants to and from the Metropark transit hub. Located in the township’s Iselin section, the property is surrounded by retail, restaurants and hotels, with easy access to the Garden State Parkway, the New Jersey Turnpike and other major corridors.
