An area law firm has acquired a 3,000-square-foot building in Morristown, brokers with Newmark Associates announced last week.
The brokerage firm, which is based in nearby Cedar Knolls, announced the sale of 13 Mount Kemble Ave. on behalf of 13 Mt. Kemble LLC. Newmark identified the buyer as a local law firm that was seeking a location with proximity to the Morris County courthouse and the downtown.
Senior Vice President for Business Development Helene Elbaum represented the buyer, while Newmark’s Douglas Greenberger represented the seller. Greenberger, who joined Newmark last summer, has had a business, community and personal relationship with the seller for more than two decades.
“The ‘live, work, play’ trend in the office market coupled with Morristown being the county seat made this the ideal property for the buyer,” Elbaum said.
Greenberger added that the deal “reflects the ongoing demand for the limited supply of commercial buildings in Morristown.”
“A key component to satisfying this demand is knowledge of the market place and long-term relationships in the community,” he said.
